Webcast Technician

Overview:

Baldwin Audio/Visual Solutions (BAVS) is looking for an experienced webcasting technician for live and virtual events in the Ottawa area. BAVS currently runs a live events department alongside a state-of-the-art webcast and interpretation studio, enabling us to run virtual and hybrid events. We have many exciting roles that we are looking to fill on a full-time and contract basis.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Install, operate, and dismantle hybrid and virtual event setups
Operate audio, video, lighting, interpretation, and virtual event equipment (not all skills required)
Develop relationships with BAVS clients and provide exceptional on-site customer service
Collaborate clearly and efficiently with BAVS operations and on-site event staff
Maintain the warehouse and equipment
Prepare events for shipping and unpack returned events equipment
Safely operate BAVS delivery vehicles as required

Position Requirements & Skills Required:

Minimum 2-5 years experience working as an Audio-Visual technician
Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
Ability to work independently and be part of a team
Open to learning new skills and adhering to BAVS event procedures
Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals
Proficient with the Microsoft 365 Suite of products and common presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi)
Applicant must have received, or be willing to receive, a COVID-19 vaccine to be considered for employment
G-Class driver’s license (preferred)

Compensation/Benefits:

Salary Range: $52,500-$65,000 per year (based on experience)
Overtime pay after 44 hours per week
(2) Week’s vacation + Christmas Shutdown (1-2 Weeks) + All Statutory Holidays
